Affected products
If you are unsure whether your device is affected, please contact support (see below).
Hazard
Fire hazard due to an internal short circuit.
In isolated cases, smoke development up to open flames has been observed. According to current knowledge, the fault may also occur without connected loads.
Even if your device appears to function normally, the risk cannot be reliably ruled out.
Why this recall also applies to apparently normal devices
The vast majority of installed convertiger 100 units show no visible malfunction. Nevertheless, following reported incidents and a precautionary risk assessment, we have decided to issue a recall because a safety-relevant defect cannot be reliably detected through normal use or inspection.
The decisive factor is not the number of affected devices, but the potential extent of damage (vehicle fire).
Background (current status of investigations)
Based on current findings, there are indications that humidity, in combination with deviations in an electronic component, may contribute to an internal short circuit.
These statements reflect the current assessment and may change as investigations continue.
What we will do (remedy & timeline)
- No later than 31 January 2026, all affected customers will be informed about the replacement process.
- Until then: Keep the product disconnected and do not operate it.
